Seasonal Greatings

On this cold, cold winter’s evening,

I’ve had a feeling like I have been grieving,

But I want a future without so much sadness,

Just one evening ahead filled with gladness.

Somebody get me a Santa Claus!

Wrap me up in a tasteless sweater,

See the snow prints from a rabbit’s paws.

Pour me a tody or some spicy eggnog!

I need to feel everything is getting better,

I need the heat from that ol’ Yule Log.

Cause it’s another snowy winter,

And we’ve already been in the dark.

I feel the need for the cry of the jolly fat man,

And see the red glow of a reindeer’s nose.

Somebody get me a Santa Claus!

Wrap me up in a tasteless sweater,

See the snow prints from a rabbit’s paws.

Pour me a tody or some spicy eggnog!

I need to feel everything is getting better,

I need the heat from that ol’ Yule Log.

We had enough of the blinding snow.

Tis the season of joy and peace.

We need to hear a little “Ho, Ho, Ho!”

We’re desperate for this seasonal release.

Somebody get me a Santa Claus!

Wrap me up in a tasteless sweater,

See the snow prints from a rabbit’s paws.

Pour me a tody or some spicy eggnog!

I need to feel everything is getting better,

I need the heat from that ol’ Yule Log.

Too much cold can blue the soul,

Need the sharing and caring.

Laughter and shine no lumps of coal,

bring me the dude whose red suit wearing.

Somebody get me a Santa Claus!

Wrap me up in a tasteless sweater,

See the snow prints from a rabbit’s paws.

Pour me a tody or some spicy eggnog!

I need to feel everything is getting better,

I need the heat from that ol’ Yule Log.

Born at an early age I learned to walk talk and squawk with the animals. Now I am trying to learn to talk to you. I am over 21 more than once, I like games, poetry, music, programming, geekness, and bright paper packages tied up with string. My politics run leftish, but I am not responsible for others who do, or say they do. I enjoy tech.
