Some Cuts
Sometimes you can see the cut, is not that deep.
Others you don’t know till it wakes you from your sleep.
One time you may feel no pain,
Until it starts to heal again.
You don’t think it’s so bad, but it’s the worst you’ve ever had.
Bind up, and tie up the wounds.
Get thicker skin, try to begin to heal.
Fight back, and stay out of the tombs.
Learn better ways, avoid it and you won’t feel.
But some wounds never heal.
You try to elevate, and demonstrate good sense.
You might try to stay safe, and stay behind your fence.
But you have to go out, to get supplies,
To deal with the others and a pack of lies.
You have to plan if you don’t want a surprise.
Rise up, and sing your merry tune.
Join in some other song just to be part of the deal.
Don’t hold back, to get out of the gloom.
Share the strength, so you don’t have to kneel.
But some things never heal.
The fight and the struggle go on and no one wins.
Seems you just got done and another day begins.
You seem to forget about the pain.
Until it takes you down again.
Last time not so bad, but you’ve been really had.
This wound now has festered and spread,
You can’t stand the pain in your head.
Everything is turning to gloom,
You feel like it’s spelling your doom.
Because some wounds never heal.
